Mike Davis

Like most people, Mike started riding bikes as a child. Unlike most people, he never really stopped. His teenage years happily coincided with the early 1990s "golden era" of mountain biking. As a student he combined his love of words with his love of bikes to earn a bit of beer money writing short articles and then product tests for magazines. He transitioned to running the websites of these magazines, before becoming a bike journalist and editor for various well-known cycling magazines including What Mountain Bike, Mountain Bike World, Total Bike and Mountain Bike Pro. Notably, Mike wrote for and subsequently edited Mountain Biking UK in its heyday, steering the magazine to its highest ever circulation.

Mike pivoted to the online world when it was still in its infancy, becoming editor of the up-and-coming cycling website Bikemagic.com. A freelance career as a cycling journalist and copywriter followed, working at various times for the aforementioned magazines as well as Cycling Plus, Singletrack, BikeRadar.com and others. Mike also helped out Shimano and Cube, among others, with copywriting and editing work. Mike is now bringing all these skills into play to produce the educational resource that is ebike.help.
